Safari experiences in East Africa
An experience is the reason you are going. The gorillas in Bwindi. The river crossings in the Mara. A morning on the Kazinga Channel with a coffee going cold in your hand because a shoebill is standing in the reeds. Everything else on an itinerary can be arranged around that one thing.
Below is every experience we run, what it actually asks of you, and the safaris that include it. Most guests combine two. Almost nobody regrets pairing gorillas with savannah, and almost everybody regrets trying to fit in four.

How to combine them without ruining the trip
Gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking sit in the same forests, so they cost you a transfer, not a flight. Pairing either with the savannah parks means one internal hop and a change of pace that most people find they need after a day on a muddy slope at altitude.
The Great Migration is the one experience that fixes your dates rather than the other way round. If the crossings are why you are coming, we start from the calendar and work backwards, and we will tell you plainly when the month you have chosen is the wrong one.
Two experiences in ten days is comfortable. Three is a lot of driving. Four is a highlights reel you will remember as an airport. If you are not sure where your trip sits, start with the itineraries we already run and tell us what you would change.

Tell us which of these you will not leave without
Send us the one experience your trip is built around and a planner will come back with a real itinerary, honest timings and a price that holds.
